Housing Solutions is pleased to announce a senior housing proposal for Butte, Montana. Butte doesn’t strike most people as an area in need of affordable housing, however when you dig under the surface a very different story is uncovered. The preliminary market study indicated a demand for 145 new affordable senior homes. Compounding to the problem, there is only one existing senior tax credit property (Meadowlands) serving Butte residents. The Butte Silver-Bow area, similar to many other areas across the state, is seeing its citizens age, but unlike other areas of the state, it has not received an award of tax credits for new senior homes in many years.
The location of the site is excellent. The property is located south of the interstate one block west of Harrison Avenue at the intersection of Paxon and Elizabeth Warren. This location will provide residents with the convenience of Glacier Bank, The Montana Club, Goodwill, Buffalo Wild Wings, Walmart and other amenities all located less than one mile away. Additionally, a Butte-Silver Bow Transit Bus stop is just one block away. From there they can access the orange or blue line to reach their desired location.
